Founded in 2002, Women’s Education Project (WEP), an nonprofit headquartered in New York, provides college scholarships, academic support, job-oriented training and life skills to help underprivileged Indian women obtain better jobs and make life-changing decisions about their health, finances and future. In WEP’s centers, in Madurai and Hyderabad, South India, students gain a lively awareness of life’s possibilities and effect lasting change for themselves, their families and communities.
